Crayon Life
Privacy policy
Last updated 30 October 2026.
Crayon Life is made for parents and family members. It is not directed at children, and it has no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
What leaves your phone
- The photo of the drawing. To bring it to life, the app sends the drawing (and only the drawing) to our server, which passes it to
Google's Gemini AI service to recognise what's drawn and to make the short animation. We ask for your permission in the app before the
first drawing is sent. Our server deletes the drawing and the animation within 24 hours. Google processes them under its
Gemini API terms.
- A random device id made by the app, so your purchased credits stay with your phone. It isn't linked to your name, email or Apple ID.
- Purchase records from Apple (which product, when), to give you your credits and handle refunds. Apple handles all payments; we never see your card.
- Basic app events (for example "card made" or "purchase started"), counted per day without any personal details, so we can fix problems.
What never leaves your phone
- Your child's recorded voice, names and messages you type, the drawings kept for more cards, and the finished cards. These are put together on your phone and stay there unless you share them.
- Photos of people: the app checks on your phone and won't send a photo that looks like a person.

If you leave your email address to hear when the app is out, we keep it only to send that one note, and we delete it afterwards. Email hello@crayonlife.com to have it removed sooner. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
Your choices
